Yemen warns of more strikes after successful hypersonic missile attack on Israel
The Yemeni Armed Forces have carried out a significant military operation, targeting an Israeli military site in the Yaffa area of occupied Palestine, according to a statement from Yemen’s military spokesperson, Brigadier-General Yahya Sarie.
In the statement, Brigadier-General Sarie revealed that the attack was executed using a newly developed hypersonic ballistic missile, which successfully evaded Israel’s defense systems. "With the help of Allah Almighty, the missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces conducted a qualitative military operation targeting an Israeli enemy military objective in Yaffa," Sarie said.
The missile reportedly traveled 2,040 kilometers in just 11 and a half minutes, striking its target without interception. Sarie emphasized that the missile created panic among the Israeli population, causing over two million Israeli citizens to seek shelter—a first in Israel's history.
"This operation marks the fifth round of our military efforts and highlights the advancements made by our missile force heroes, who worked tirelessly to develop missile technology that meets the challenges posed by the Zionist enemy," Sarie stated. He further highlighted that the missile was able to bypass multiple interception systems, including those provided by the United States and Israel.
Brigadier-General Sarie reiterated Yemen’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause, stating that geographical challenges, along with American and British aggression, would not deter Yemen from fulfilling its "religious, moral, and humanitarian duty" in solidarity with the Palestinian people. "The Israeli enemy should expect more strikes and specific operations in the near future," he warned, alluding to further military action as the first anniversary of the October 7 Operation approaches.
He also noted that Yemen’s missile operations are a direct response to Israeli aggression, including attacks on the city of Hodeidah, and are part of Yemen’s broader support for the Palestinian people. (ILKHA)
