Hamas chief expresses gratitude to Hezbollah's leader for support in battle against Israel
In his first letter since being elected head of Hamas' politburo, Yahya Sinwar has expressed deep gratitude to Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.
Sinwar's letter, which acknowledged Nasrallah's message of condolences and congratulations following the death of former Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh, underscores the close ties between the two groups.
Sinwar conveyed his appreciation for Nasrallah’s message, which included condolences for the martyrdom of Haniyeh and his companion, Wasim Abu Shaaban. The letter commended Nasrallah’s solidarity and support in the ongoing battle against Israeli forces, praising his "noble and sincere" actions on the fronts of the Axis of Resistance.
The Hamas leader affirmed that the resistance movement remains committed to upholding the principles of the late leader Haniyeh and vowed to persist in fighting "the Zionist project" alongside the Axis of Resistance.
Sinwar expressed a steadfast determination to see the defeat of the Israeli occupation and the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. (ILKHA)
