Prophet Lovers Foundation highlights the exemplary role of Prophet Muhammad
Mehmet Beşir Şimşek, President of the Prophet Lovers Foundation (PLF), issued a heartfelt message in anticipation of Mawlid al-Nabi (PBUH), which will be observed on Saturday.
In his statement, Şimşek encouraged the public to spend the night in mosques, engaging in salawat, worship, and prayers, emphasizing these acts as vital for receiving Allah’s blessings. He specifically urged for prayers for Gaza during this significant night.
Expressing joy and enthusiasm, Şimşek linked the Muslim world’s social, economic, and political situation to the exemplary life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). “Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) not only conveyed Allah’s messages to humanity but also provided us with an exemplary life through divine guidance,” Şimşek stated, referencing Quranic verses, historical accounts, and testimonies. He highlighted the ongoing suffering of the Muslim Ummah, particularly the crisis in Gaza, and called for persistent efforts despite these difficulties.
He underscored that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) remains the ultimate role model for Muslims with genuine faith and understanding of Islam. “Muslims should thoroughly study the Prophetic Sunnah and the life of the Prophet (PBUH) in its various dimensions—scientific, moral, and political. They should assess contemporary issues with this knowledge, develop strategies, and act accordingly, utilizing modern communication methods, exploring economic solutions, and being aware of adversaries,” Şimşek remarked.
The PLF President emphasized the necessity for the Muslim Ummah to embody the true essence of unity. He noted that overcoming current challenges requires collective action and coordination among Muslims. He also called for producing creative alternatives to adversities, leveraging boycotts, art, literature, and economic strategies.
Şimşek used the metaphor of ‘liberation of man’ to celebrate the birth of the Prophet (PBUH). He explained: “The birth of the Prophet represents Allah’s divine will to guide humanity from widespread falsehood to enlightenment and salvation. Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) coming serves to remind humanity of their freedom and to cleanse idolized souls with the concept of monotheism.”
He stressed the importance of reflecting Islam’s beauty, compassion, and justice in daily life. Şimşek urged the community to honor the Prophet’s legacy by spending the night in mosques with prayer and worship, hosting religious gatherings at home, and offering hospitality. He also expressed hope that Mawlid al-Nabi Week will foster peace, tranquility, and prosperity for Gaza, the Islamic world, and humanity. (ILKHA)
