In July, hen egg production increased by 1.4%, the number of slaughtered chickens rose by 8.4%, chicken meat production grew by 5.5%, and turkey meat production saw a slight rise of 0.7% compared to the same month last year.

For the January-July period, hen egg production increased by 5.2%, the number of slaughtered chickens rose by 6.5%, chicken meat production grew by 5.6%, and turkey meat production saw a substantial increase of 20.1% compared to the same period in 2023.

The data also showed a significant month-on-month growth. Chicken meat production, which stood at 177,740 tonnes in June, surged by 15.7% to reach 205,656 tonnes in July. Similarly, hen egg production, which was 1.69 billion units in June, increased by 0.7% to reach 1.71 billion units in July. (ILKHA)
