Six civilians killed, others wounded in Israeli shelling of Gaza
At least six civilians were killed and several others injured on Friday morning in Israeli shelling of central and southern Gaza, according to local reports.
Local sources reported that five civilians from the Bardweel family were killed when Israeli artillery targeted their home in the al-Mawasi area of Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip.
Additionally, one civilian was killed and others wounded in an Israeli bombing that struck the Aqel family residence in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
The ongoing Israeli military assault on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has led to widespread devastation. So far, 41,118 civilians—predominantly women and children—have been killed, with over 95,125 others injured. Thousands more remain missing, believed to be either trapped under debris or scattered on the streets.
Rescue teams face severe challenges in accessing victims due to relentless Israeli air, sea, and land attacks, as well as the vast destruction caused by the bombardment. (ILKHA)
