Türkiye vows accountability for Israeli soldiers responsible for death of Turkish citizen
The Turkish Foreign Ministry has announced that the body of a Turkish citizen, Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi, who was killed in the West Bank during a peaceful demonstration, will be returned to Türkiye on Friday, September 13.
Eygi was fatally shot by Israeli soldiers during a protest in solidarity with Palestinians in the occupied territory.
The ministry condemned the incident, calling it a "murder" committed by the "genocidal Netanyahu Government."
In a press release, the ministry stated that the procedures for the transfer of Eygi's body had been completed by Turkish diplomatic missions in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.
They also expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and vowed to pursue justice for the crime. (ILKHA)
