Death toll rises in Myanmar floods triggered by Typhoon Yagi
The death toll from severe flooding in Myanmar, caused by Typhoon Yagi, has risen to 17, according to the country's fire department.
Rescuers and firefighters recovered seven more bodies from flooded villages in Yamethin township, Mandalay region. This brings the total number of fatalities since Wednesday to 17.
The heavy rains brought by the typhoon have inundated numerous areas across the country, displacing thousands of people and causing widespread damage. (ILKHA)
