Yemeni forces shoot down U.S. MQ-9 drone over Sa'ada airspace
The Yemeni Armed Forces have announced the successful downing of a U.S. MQ-9 drone conducting surveillance and combat operations in Sa'ada Governorate airspace.
The aircraft was reportedly engaged in hostile activities when it was intercepted by Yemeni air defenses.
This marks the second MQ-9 aircraft shot down by Yemeni forces in the past 72 hours and the ninth since the start of the "Battle of the Promised Victory" and the "Holy Jihad in support of the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa."
The Yemeni Armed Forces stated that this operation was carried out in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in retaliation against the ongoing American-British aggression in Yemen. They praised the actions of Mujahid Maher Al-Jazi, who they said avenged the blood of Palestinian martyrs through the downing of the drone.
In a statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces called on Arab and Islamic nations to fulfill their religious, moral, and humanitarian obligations toward the Palestinian people, who have faced a genocide for nearly a year, with the backing of the U.S. and Britain.
The statement reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to continuing military operations until the aggression against Yemen ends and the siege on the Palestinian people in Gaza is lifted. (ILKHA)
