The attack occurred near the British Hospital at the entrance of Mawasi, killing and injuring dozens, including many children and women. Several citizens remain missing as rescue operations continue.

According to medical officials, 65 bodies have been recovered, with at least 100 more people wounded during recovery efforts that have lasted over three hours. Civil Defense teams described the airstrike as one of the most horrific massacres since the beginning of Israel’s ongoing aggression against Gaza. The powerful concussion missiles reportedly buried entire families under the sand.

Press and local reports indicate that five missiles were used in the airstrike, causing complete destruction of the tents housing displaced people. The missiles also dug nine-meter-deep craters, significantly hampering the efforts of rescue and medical teams to reach the victims.

The area remains chaotic, with Israeli reconnaissance aircraft flying overhead amid a total blackout and fires ignited by the bombing. Eyewitnesses and paramedics from the Palestinian Red Crescent report that medical teams are struggling to retrieve bodies and provide aid to the wounded due to the extensive destruction and deep craters caused by the missiles.

Ambulances have been transporting the dead and injured to field hospitals and nearby medical centers, while rescue teams continue to search for those still missing beneath the rubble.

This airstrike is part of a broader Israeli aggression against Gaza that has been ongoing since October 7, with the region enduring intensive bombardment. The attacks have caused catastrophic humanitarian conditions, further exacerbating the plight of Gaza's civilian population. (ILKHA)
