Afghanistan exports 15,000 tons of cotton
The Northern Cotton Traders Union has announced the successful export of 15,000 tons of cotton to international markets.
According to Haji Din Mohammad Ahmadzai, the head of the union, the majority of this cotton was exported from Balkh province to neighboring Pakistan and China. Ahmadzai encouraged farmers in Balkh to use fabric sacks for cotton collection to maintain its quality.
Meanwhile, Mullah Agha Jan Akhund, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, highlighted the ongoing mechanization of Afghanistan's agricultural sector. He assured farmers of the Islamic Emirate's continued support for their endeavors.
This cotton export marks a significant step forward for Afghanistan's agricultural industry, demonstrating the country's potential as a supplier of cotton to global markets. (ILKHA)
