Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrives in Riyadh for Russia-GCC dialogue
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, ahead of a key ministerial meeting of the Russia-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) dialogue.
During his visit, Lavrov is set to participate in discussions aimed at strengthening cooperation between Russia and the GCC countries.
The dialogue platform, which focuses on regional and international issues, is expected to address a wide range of topics including economic, political, and security cooperation.
In addition to attending the ministerial meeting, Lavrov is scheduled to hold several bilateral meetings with his counterparts from the Gulf region, further enhancing diplomatic relations between Russia and the Gulf states.
The last Russia-GCC dialogue was held in Moscow in July 2023, underscoring the ongoing efforts to foster closer ties and collaboration between the two sides.
