TIKA pledges to expand agricultural programs in Afghanistan
The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has committed to expanding its agricultural development programs in Afghanistan, following a meeting with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Mawlawi Sadr Azam Osmani.
During the discussions, the two sides agreed on the importance of providing Afghan farmers with comprehensive training on various agricultural topics, including vegetable cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, and quarantine measures.
TIKA officials also expressed their support for training programs in geographic information systems, remote sensing, and agricultural land monitoring. The agency emphasized the need for increased knowledge exchange between experts from Türkiye and Afghanistan.
Deputy Minister Osmani commended TIKA's ongoing efforts and urged for greater Turkish involvement in agricultural development initiatives within the country. (ILKHA)
