Turkish Foreign Ministry condemns Netanyahu's allegations against Egypt
The Turkish Foreign Ministry issued a strong statement on Wednesday, condemning recent allegations made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The ministry accused Netanyahu of spreading falsehoods to manipulate public opinion and divert attention from Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
In the press release, the Turkish Foreign Ministry declared that Netanyahu's claims regarding Egypt's role in maintaining the Israeli military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor are "unacceptable." The ministry criticized these allegations as part of an effort to undermine ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
"We fully support the Arab Republic of Egypt's mediation efforts to end the war in Gaza and to provide much-needed assistance to millions of our Palestinian brothers and sisters," the ministry stated, reaffirming Türkiye's commitment to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
The statement underscores Ankara's ongoing diplomatic efforts in the region and its solidarity with Egypt's initiatives to mediate the ongoing crisis in Gaza. (ILKHA)
