The attacks have further escalated the already dire situation in the enclave, where thousands have died since the start of hostilities.

Local sources reported that four Palestinians were killed when Israeli warplanes targeted a house in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. The airstrike was one of several that struck the densely populated area, causing significant casualties and damage.

In a separate incident, Israeli aircraft launched a raid on Nuseirat camp, coinciding with heavy and random gunfire from Israeli military vehicles positioned north of the camp. Medics from the Red Crescent transported the body of a civilian and several injured individuals to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah after an Israeli reconnaissance missile struck a group of people near Abu Sitta land on Salah al-Din Street.

Additional reports indicate that Israeli artillery shelled homes in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City, while warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Saqallah family near Al-Istijaba Mosque. Israeli forces also targeted residential buildings in the vicinity of the university college in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City, as well as homes in the al-Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.

In another strike, two people were killed and others injured when Israeli warplanes bombed an apartment belonging to the Al-Araj family at Abdul Aal intersection on Al-Jalaa Street in northern Gaza City. The victims were transported to the Baptist Hospital.

A vehicle in front of the Al-Rimal Clinic in western Gaza City was also targeted, resulting in the deaths of three civilians. In the southern part of the Strip, Israeli warplanes struck the town of Abasan Al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis, while artillery shelled the northern area of Rafah city.

According to local health authorities, the Palestinian death toll since the onset of the Israeli offensive on October 7, 2023, has now reached 40,738, with 94,154 others injured. The majority of the casualties are reported to be women and children.

Emergency services continue to face significant challenges in reaching the wounded and retrieving bodies trapped under the rubble due to ongoing Israeli military actions, which have obstructed the movement of ambulance and civil defense crews. (ILKHA)
