Turkish military kills PKK/YPG members in northern Iraq and Syria
The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that six members of the PKK/YPG were killed in military operations in northern Iraq and northern Syria.
According to the Ministry's statement, three militants were neutralized in the Operation Claw-Lock region of northern Iraq, while another three were killed in the Euphrates Shield region of northern Syria.
In a statement on X, the Ministry affirmed the determination of the Turkish Armed Forces in its ongoing efforts against terrorism.
"Our heroic Turkish Armed Forces neutralized 3 PKK terrorists identified in the Operation Claw-Lock region in northern Iraq and 3 PKK/YPG terrorists identified in the Euphrates Shield region in northern Syria. Wherever they are, the breath of our soldiers will continue to be on the neck of terrorists,” the statement reads.
The operations are part of Türkiye's broader military campaign against the PKK and YPG, which Ankara considers terrorist organizations. (ILKHA)
