Turkish FM Hakan Fidan: Israeli government continues to play with fire
During his official visit to Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan strongly condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, accusing the country of committing genocide.
In a press conference held after his meeting with Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, Minister Fidan addressed the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.
"Israel is perpetrating genocide in Gaza, systematically starving and depriving the people in the region of water,” he stated.
Fidan further criticized Israel for its attacks on civilian infrastructure, saying: "By bombing hospitals, schools, mosques, and churches, Israel is trampling on all humanitarian values."
He warned that the policies of the Netanyahu government were dangerously provocative, adding, "The Netanyahu government continues to play with fire."
He also expressed disappointment in the international community's response to the situation, stating, "Everyone who remains silent about Gaza is under the shame." Minister Fidan concluded by highlighting the spread of violence to other areas, saying, "Unfortunately, Israel has carried the systematic brutality practiced in Gaza to the West Bank."
Fidan's remarks underscore Türkiyr's firm stance against Israeli war crimes in Gaza and call for greater international attention to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region. (ILKHA)
