Türkiye detains 119 suspects in nationwide ISIS crackdown
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that 119 suspects linked to ISIS were detained during a series of nationwide operations conducted over the past five days.
In a statement on X, Minister Yerlikaya detailed that the "Gürz-10" operations targeted ISIS suspects across 23 provinces. The large-scale operations took place in Ankara, Adana, Afyonkarahisar, Antalya, Bolu, Bitlis, Bursa, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Istanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kırşehir, Kilis, Kocaeli, Kütahya, Mardin, Niğde, Ordu, Sakarya, Samsun, and Sivas.
Yerlikaya emphasized the significance of these operations in the ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and ensure national security. The detained individuals are reportedly under investigation for their involvement in terrorist activities.
The "Gürz-10" operation is part of Türkiye’s broader strategy to disrupt and dismantle extremist networks operating within its borders. (ILKHA)
