Iranian sailors released after 18 months in Mozambique
The Iranian embassy in South Africa confirmed on Wednesday that 10 Iranian sailors, arrested 18 months ago by Mozambican police for illegally entering coastal waters, have been released and returned to Iran.
The embassy announced that the release followed extensive legal, judicial, and political efforts, the embassy said.
The sailors were detained in Mozambique's coastal waters and have now returned to their home country. (ILKHA)
