Hamas calls for West Bank uprising in response to Israeli aggression

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hamas highlighted the extensive targeting of areas including Jenin, Tubas, Tulkarem, Al Khalil, and Ramallah. The group reported incursions, arrests, and widespread destruction of infrastructure by Israeli forces, accompanied by aerial bombardment using drones and warplanes.

Hamas accused the Israeli government of committing acts of genocide against the Palestinian people, both in Gaza and the West Bank, attributing this to what it described as "suspicious international silence" and "unconditional support" from the U.S. and other Western countries. The statement argued that Israel's actions are part of a broader effort to suppress Palestinian resistance, which Hamas claimed has only strengthened among Palestinian youth.

The movement praised the resistance efforts of Palestinian factions, including the Al-Qassam Brigades, Al-Quds Brigades, and Martyrs of Al-Aqsa, particularly in refugee camps such as Far’a, Nour Shams, and Jenin. Hamas mourned the loss of what it referred to as "heroic martyrs" and called for a general mobilization across the West Bank, urging Palestinians to escalate their resistance against Israeli forces and settlers.

The statement concluded with a call to Palestinian security forces to join the resistance in the fight against the occupation, with the goal of achieving Palestinian freedom and self-determination.

At least 11 Palestinians were reported killed and others injured during Israeli military actions in Jenin and Tubas early Wednesday. (ILKHA)
