Turkish Coast Guard rescues 45 migrants pushed back by Greece
Turkish Coast Guard teams rescued 45 irregular migrants, including 5 children, who were pushed back by the Greek authorities into Turkish territorial waters off coast of Muğla .
Upon receiving information that rubber boats with irregular migrants were found off the coast of Muğla, Coast Guard Command teams were dispatched to the area.
The teams conducted a successful rescue operation and disembarked 45 irregular migrants, including 5 children, forced back to the Turkish territorial water by Greek elements.
In a separate incident, the Turkish Coast Guard Command intercepted and saved 75 irregular migrants, including 19 children, off Muğla coast.
Moreover, 1 suspected migrant smuggler was detained during the operations.
Irregular migrants were sent to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management after the procedures. (ILKHA)
