Hamas applauds Hezbollah’s retaliation for assassination of resistance commander
Hamas praised Hezbollah's "major response" on Sunday, following the assassination of senior resistance commander Sayyed Fuaad Shukr.
In a statement, Hamas declared that Hezbollah's retaliatory actions sent a strong message to Israel that crimes against Palestinians and Lebanese people would not go unanswered.
Hezbollah launched a large-scale operation involving rockets and drones targeting Israeli military sites, which Hamas described as a "strong and focused response" that struck "deep inside the Zionist entity." The statement further criticized the Israeli government, labeling the response as a significant setback for what it termed a "fascist occupation government."
Hamas also condemned Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon as a "flagrant violation" of international norms, asserting that Israel poses a threat to regional and global security. The movement held the U.S. administration fully accountable for the repercussions of Israel’s ongoing military actions in Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq. (ILKHA)
