Hezbollah successfully completes retaliatory strike against Israeli targets
Hezbollah announced the successful completion of a military operation early Sunday morning, targeting specific locations within Israel.
The operation was launched in response to recent Israeli aggression in the southern suburb of Beirut, which resulted in the death of senior Hezbollah commander Sayyed Fuad Shokr and several civilians, including women and children.
In a statement released by Hezbollah, the group confirmed that all offensive drones were launched as planned, crossing the Lebanese-Palestinian border and reaching their intended targets. The statement emphasized that the operation proceeded smoothly and was concluded successfully "by the grace of Allah."
Hezbollah also refuted Israeli claims of having conducted a preemptive strike that allegedly disrupted the Resistance's planned attacks. The statement described these claims as baseless and inconsistent with the reality on the ground.
Hezbollah's Secretary General, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, is expected to address these claims in a speech scheduled for later today, where he will provide further details and counter the Israeli narrative.
This military operation and the forthcoming address by Nasrallah come in the wake of escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, particularly following the recent airstrikes in Beirut that have intensified the conflict in the region. (ILKHA)
