UN reports 90% of Gaza's population displaced due to Israeli aggression
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights revealed today that nearly 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced since the onset of the Israeli genocidal aggression on the region in October 2023.
According to the UN, there is currently no safe area within the Gaza Strip. Displaced residents are now confined to a space that constitutes only one-tenth of the territory’s total area.
The ongoing conflict has led to over 133,000 casualties, including both fatalities and injuries, with a significant number of victims being children and women, as reported by local health authorities.
In addition to the casualties, more than 10,000 individuals remain unaccounted for amid widespread devastation and a severe famine.
The UN's statement underscores the dire humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza and the urgent need for international intervention. (ILKHA)
