He addressed concerns over misinformation circulating on social media, which claims that aid is being blocked from entering the besieged enclave.

Kurtaran emphasized that while the Rafah crossing remains closed, traders have managed to transport some food into Gaza, which the foundation then uses to provide hot meals to those in need. He urged philanthropists to disregard the false claims and continue supporting the Palestinian people.

“The Hope Caravan and other humanitarian organizations are maintaining their operations unceasingly despite all difficulties,” Kurtaran stated, highlighting the worsening situation in Gaza. He confirmed that the foundation has been successful in distributing food supplies daily, despite the Israeli occupation of the Philadelphia Corridor and the closure of the Rafah border. “We purchase the food supplies that merchants transported into Gaza and distribute them to our brothers and sisters on a daily basis. We provide hot meals and drinking water to the people of Gaza every day.”

Kurtaran also announced plans to deliver aid to the northern regions of Gaza, which are particularly affected by hunger. The foundation is working to send additional supplies, including tents, food, and medicine, via trucks through Jordan. He noted the urgent need for shelter, as many homes have been destroyed, leaving residents exposed to the elements.

In response to the misinformation campaign, which Kurtaran suggested could be a Zionist propaganda effort to cut off support, he reiterated the foundation’s commitment to delivering aid. “We must dispel the misconception that aid won’t reach Gaza because the borders are closed. Before the closure of the Rafah Border Crossing, we sent materials there by 50 to 60 trucks daily, on some days up to 100. We ensure the supplies we send are non-perishable like flour to make bread and canned goods,” he said. Despite logistical challenges, he urged benefactors to continue their support, stressing the dire situation in Gaza where hunger and deprivation are rampant.

As the Israeli occupation regime’s ongoing campaign against Gaza intensifies, humanitarian organizations like Hope Caravan continue their efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. Despite the dangers, including the loss of some volunteers to Israeli bombardments, these organizations remain steadfast in their mission to provide critical relief.

Kurtaran’s statements come at a time when global attention on the conflict has waned, yet the need for aid remains as pressing as ever. He called on the international community to continue their support for Gaza, where the humanitarian crisis deepens with each passing day. (ILKHA)
