The agreements, covering investment and trade in sectors like infrastructure, energy, agriculture, and manufacturing, are expected to significantly boost bilateral economic ties.

The signing ceremony was attended by high-level officials from both countries, including Afghan Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund and Uzbek Prime Minister Abdullah Aripov.

Baradar expressed optimism about the deals, stating they would create jobs and opportunities for both nations. The agreements come amidst Afghanistan's broader push to attract foreign investment and position itself as a regional trade hub. Uzbekistan, too, has been actively seeking to strengthen ties with its neighbor.
