Turkish Finance Minister Şimşek vows tough stance on tax evasion
Türkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek has announced a firm commitment to combating tax evasion and informality in the economy.
In a statement on X, Minister Şimşek emphasized the government’s resolve to address tax non-compliance.
“By reducing informality through intensive field inspections, we strengthen tax justice and prevent unfair gains,” Şimşek said. He assured that the government will continue its rigorous enforcement actions against individuals and entities that earn income but fail to meet their tax obligations.
