Cengiz Kurtaran, President of the Hope Caravan Foundation, noted that many of the girls in Melekdin region of Ghazni are orphans with limited financial means. He emphasized that through these donations, the foundation aims to highlight the importance of education as a critical priority accessible to every child.

Kurtaran underscored the significant need for educational support for girls in the region, stating: “Contrary to popular belief, the education of girls in the Melekdin region holds great importance. The contributions of benefactors play a crucial role in enabling these children to continue their education.”

He mentioned that around 400 female students are currently studying at Darul Ulum Madrasa, where the foundation provided clothing and stationery supplies. “We will continue to support our female students by providing clothing and stationery. We are grateful to the benefactors who have assisted us in this noble cause and hope their support continues. While one floor of the madrasa has been completed, the upper floors still need to be built. Education is highly valued here, particularly for girls, whose education spans primary, middle, and high school levels. The madrasa offers Islamic studies as well as other sciences. Insha'Allah, we will continue to support them,” Kurtaran said.

Kurtaran also mentioned that the clothing and stationery distribution has been completed, adding: “Together with our little angels, we pray for our benefactors in Türkiye. After the aid distribution, the girls recited the Quran and offered prayers. May Allah grant them a bright future, a good life in this world, and salvation in the hereafter by earning Allah's pleasure. Many might think that girls in Afghanistan do not receive an education, but what we see here is a vibrant environment filled with girls. Approximately 500 female students are receiving education, and some even travel from nearby villages and towns to study here. Knowledge is indeed very important. Our brothers and sisters in Türkiye have made our orphaned and needy children here very happy.” (ILKHA)
