5.5-magnitude earthquake strikes Jordan-Syria region, tremors felt in Türkiye
An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 struck the Jordan-Syria region late Monday night, according to the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences.
The quake occurred at 23:56 TSI, with the epicenter located at 35.08 degrees north latitude and 36.96 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
The tremor was felt in several Turkish cities near the Syrian border, including Hatay, Kilis, Gaziantep, and Kahramanmaraş.
As of now, there have been no immediate reports of damages or casualties resulting from the earthquake. Local authorities are continuing to monitor the situation. (ILKHA)
