Afghanistan: Explosion in Kabul leaves one dead, 11 injured
An explosion in the Dasht-e-Barchi area on the western edge of Kabul on Sunday has left one person dead and 11 others injured, according to Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran.
The explosion, caused by a sticky mine attached to a mini-bus, occurred earlier in the day. Zadran confirmed the casualties in a post on his X account, stating: “According to preliminary information, one person lost his life and 11 others were injured.”
Security forces quickly arrived at the scene and have begun an investigation into the incident. However, no group or individual has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
The Dasht-e-Barchi area has been a frequent target of violence in recent years, often attributed to militant groups. The situation remains tense as authorities continue to investigate the blast. (ILKHA)
