The request follows Israeli allegations regarding the use of these locations for military purposes.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Hamas emphasized the need to expose what it described as Israel’s ongoing war crimes in Gaza and urged for the enforcement of international resolutions designed to protect civilians during wartime. The movement called for an end to what it termed as a genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza.

Hamas also strongly criticized British Foreign Secretary David Lammy for his comments on the massacre at al-Tabin School, which took place during dawn prayers on Saturday and resulted in over 100 deaths. Lammy had urged Hamas to cease actions that endanger civilians, a statement Hamas described as an “appalling alignment with the [Israeli] occupation’s false narrative.” The movement accused Israel of using these claims to justify attacks on civilians and condemned Lammy’s remarks as an attempt to absolve the UK of responsibility for supporting Israel.

Hamas further accused the Israeli occupation army of misleading the public by claiming that some of the victims of the al-Tabin School massacre were members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad. The movement insisted that all those killed in the attack were civilians, including civil servants, university teachers, religious figures, and children, with no connection to any military or political activities.

The statement from Hamas also highlighted that nearly 40,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since the onset of the conflict, with over two-thirds of the victims being women. The movement called on Western governments, particularly the United States and the United Kingdom, to reconsider their positions and end their support for Israel’s genocidal actions in Gaza.
