Ukrainian troops allegedly enter Russia’s Belgorod Oblast
Ukrainian forces have allegedly crossed into Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, according to a video posted online on Saturday.
The footage shows Ukrainian soldiers claiming to be in the village of Poroz. While the authenticity of the video and the exact date of the incursion remain unconfirmed, it suggests a potential expansion of the ongoing Ukrainian offensive in the neighboring Kursk Oblast.
Russia has declared a counter-terrorism operation in response to the cross-border activities and has deployed additional troops to the border region.
However, military analysts suggest that redeploying forces from other frontlines to the border could weaken Russia’s offensive capabilities in eastern Ukraine.
Ukrainian officials have yet to officially comment on the situation. (ILKHA)
