Lufthansa suspends flights amid Middle East tensions
Deutsche Lufthansa has announced the suspension of flights to several Middle Eastern destinations in response to escalating tensions in the region.
The airline has halted flights to Tehran, Iran until August 12th and extended its suspension of flights to Tel Aviv, Israel until the same date.
Additionally, all Lufthansa flights to Amman, Jordan and Erbil, Iraq have been canceled through Wednesday. The airline has also decided to avoid Iranian and Iraqi airspace until Wednesday.
These measures come after a series of attacks and threats between Iran and Israel, following the killing of a Hamas leader in Tehran and a Hezbollah commander in Beirut. (ILKHA)
