Turkish Finance Minister: Inflation decline to be more apparent soon
Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced on social media that the decline in inflation is expected to become more noticeable in the near future.
Evaluating the latest inflation data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), Şimşek highlighted a significant drop in annual inflation. He noted that while monthly inflation saw a rise in July due to temporary factors, annual inflation fell by 9.8 percentage points from June, reaching 61.8 percent.
Şimşek emphasized the positive results of the government's disinflation program, stating, "We continue to receive positive outcomes in all areas of our program, whose primary objective is to reduce inflation. The decline in inflation will be more evident in the coming period."
