In his condolence message, Gümüş expressed profound sorrow and solidarity with Hamas and other resistance groups. He praised Haniyehs heroic life and reaffirmed his support for the Palestinian cause.

“Last night, the Islamic Ummah martyred another leader whose life was full of heroism and who fulfilled his duties. May the martyrdom of our brother, the late Ismail Haniyeh be blessed,” Gümüş said.

Gümüş denounced the assassination as a cowardly act intended to undermine the resistance but asserted that it would only strengthen the resolve of Hamas and other resistance groups. He emphasized that such acts would not break the unity or strength of Hamas and would instead inspire new leaders and accelerate the demise of the Zionist regime.

The Hezbollah leader urged Muslims worldwide to rally against Zionism and embrace their faith more strongly in the wake of the attack. Gümüş concluded his message with a call for hope and resilience, expressing confidence that “the supporters of Allah will be the victors.”

The assassination of Haniyeh is seen as part of a larger pattern of targeted attacks against Palestinian resistance leaders, including figures like Sheikh Ahmed Yassin and Abdul Aziz al-Rantisi.
