Yapıcıoğlu’s remarks, made on X, come amid escalating tensions between Türkiye and Israel over the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

In his statement, Yapıcıoğlu supported President Erdoğan's comparison of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler, labeling Netanyahu and Zionism as embodiments of "absolute evil." He argued that opposition to Zionism is not anti-Semitic but a stand against terrorism.

Yapıcıoğlu criticized the Israeli actions in Gaza, accusing Netanyahu and his administration of committing mass murder and genocide since October 7. He noted that at least 40,000 people, including 20,000 children, have been killed in the ongoing conflict, describing these actions as a war on humanity and all human values.

“The blatant threat made by the so-called foreign minister of Israeli occupation regime against our President is unacceptable,” Yapıcıoğlu declared, condemning what he called the “arrogance” of the Israeli authorities.

He emphasized that Israel’s power is not derived from its technological weapons or imperialist allies but from the disunity within the Islamic world. Yapıcıoğlu urged Turkish government to take a stronger leadership role in confronting the Zionist threat and to support humanitarian values.

To address the situation, Yapıcıoğlu proposed several measures:

- Closing air and sea routes to Israeli and its supporters.

- Enacting legislation to punish genocide perpetrators and dual citizens.

- Convening an urgent meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, especially the D8 countries, to address the Palestinian issue.

Yapıcıoğlu’s statements reflect growing tensions and calls for decisive action in response to the ongoing genocide and the international reactions surrounding it. (ILKHA)
