"Just as the genocidal Nazis were held accountable, those who seek to destroy the Palestinians will also be held accountable,” the ministry declared in an early Monday statement. "Humanity will stand with the Palestinians. You will not be able to destroy the Palestinians."

The Turkish statement came in response to remarks by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, who made defamatory and insulting comments about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on social media. In a separate message on X (formerly Twitter), Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan defended Erdogan, stating that he "has become the voice of humanity's conscience."

"Those who seek to silence this just voice, especially international Zionist circles including Israel, are in a state of great panic," Fidan said. "History has ended the same way for all genocidal perpetrators and their supporters."

Israeli genocidal aggression on Gaza has resulted in the deaths of over 39,300 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with more than 90,800 injured, according to local health authorities. The Israeli aggression has left large areas of Gaza in ruins, exacerbating a humanitarian crisis with severe shortages of food, clean water, and medicine.

Israel is currently accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The ICJ recently ordered Israel to immediately halt its military operations in the southern city of Rafah, where over 1 million Palestinians had sought refuge before the city's invasion on May 6.
