Palestinian casualties mount as Israeli airstrikes devastate Khan Younis
At least eight Palestinians were killed this morning in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Local sources reported that Israeli artillery targeted the neighborhoods of Tel al-Hawa, Al-Sabra, Al-Zeitoun, and Sheikh Ajlin in Gaza City, while warplanes conducted two airstrikes on Tel al-Hawa.
Additionally, Israeli aircraft bombed a building belonging to the Daghmash family on Al-Maghribi Street in the Al-Sabra neighborhood, though no injuries were reported.
Israeli military vehicles opened fire with machine guns and deployed illumination flares northwest of the Nuseirat refugee camp and north of the Al-Bureij camp in central Gaza.
Israeli forces also demolished residential buildings east of Khan Younis, causing thick smoke to billow from the area, while warplanes struck the outskirts of Qizan al-Najjar neighborhood south of Khan Younis. In addition, Israeli forces fired at homes and properties in the vicinity.
In Rafah, Israeli military vehicles fired machine gunfire north of the city in southern Gaza.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which began in October of last year, has so far resulted in 39,258 documented Palestinian fatalities, the majority of whom are women and children, and 90,589 injuries.
Thousands of victims remain trapped under rubble and in the streets, with rescue teams unable to reach them. (ILKHA)
