HÜDA PAR calls for Hamas Leader to speak at Turkish parliament
HÜDA PAR Secretary General and Gaziantep MP Şahzade Demir has called for Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh to address the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.
The call was made in a statement on X, in response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent speech at the U.S. Congress, which was met with a standing ovation.
In his post tagged #ElinizKurusun, Demir condemned Netanyahu as a war criminal and criticized the U.S. Congress for hosting him. "In the shadow of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, a war criminal who demonstrated his determination to continue the genocide in partnership with the US and Zionism was recognized. The event we witnessed is a confirmation of the Zionist gang and the American partnership," Demir stated.
He proposed inviting Ismail Haniyeh to the Turkish Parliament to speak on behalf of the oppressed people of Gaza, suggesting that this would be the best response to what he described as insolence.
Many are expressing outrage at Netanyahu's speech and the enthusiastic reception he received in Washington, viewing it as an endorsement of his genocidal policies against Palestinian people. Reactions continue to pour in, highlighting the widespread disapproval. (ILKHA)
