Turkish forces kill 19 PKK/YPG members in Iraq, northern Syria
The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that Turkish security forces killed 19 members of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and its Syrian affiliate, the People's Protection Units (YPG), during operations in northern Iraq and northern Syria.
The Ministry said in a statement that 15 PKK terrorists were "neutralized" in the Hakurk and Asos regions of northern Iraq. Turkish authorities use the term "neutralized" to imply the terrorists were killed, captured or surrendered.
Four additional PKK/YPG members were killed in the Euphrates Shield and Peace Spring regions of northern Syria, the statement added. (ILKHA)
