Yemeni Armed Forces announce successful drone strike on Tel Aviv
The Yemeni Armed Forces reported a successful drone strike on a significant site in Tel Aviv, occupied Palestine, as part of their ongoing operations in support of Gaza.
The strike was executed early Friday using the newly developed Yafa drone, according to spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree.
Named after the Palestinian city now part of greater Tel Aviv, the Yafa drone is designed to evade enemy radar and interception systems. General Saree confirmed that the drone reached its target and achieved its operational objectives.
The statement declared Tel Aviv a strike zone and primary target for future operations. The Yemeni Armed Forces intend to focus on strategic strikes against Israeli occupation's internal front, aiming to penetrate deep within its territory. Saree revealed possession of a target bank within occupied Palestine, including sensitive military and security sites, and vowed continued operations against these targets in retaliation for daily crimes and massacres against Palestinians in Gaza.
The statement reaffirmed the Yemeni Armed Forces' commitment to supporting Gaza's resistance, asserting that their operations would persist until the aggression on Gaza ceases and the siege on the Palestinian people is lifted.
Hebrew media reported that a drone breached the airspace of occupied Palestine from the sea and crashed into a building on Shalom Aleichem Street in Tel Aviv, causing significant damage. Israeli emergency services reported eight people injured by shrapnel from the explosion, while Israeli media reported one fatality. The police corroborated that a body was found near the explosion site with signs of shrapnel wounds.
Footage showed the drone’s engine noise before impact, though the Israeli military has yet to release official details on how the drone bypassed all defensive systems and struck the building. (ILKHA)
