This week's demonstration took place in Diyarbakır's central Kayapınar district, focusing on "Operation Al Aqsa Flood" and addressing the recent targeting of young pro-Jerusalem protestors.

Fatih Taş, a prominent figure within the Foundation, delivered a powerful speech condemning the inaction of international bodies like the UN Security Council, the International Court of Justice, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Despite numerous statements and resolutions, Taş lamented the ineffectiveness of these organizations' responses to the ongoing crisis.

He specifically referenced a UN Security Council session urging an immediate end to Israeli violence. Taş quoted a UN official who, upon visiting Rafah, described the overwhelming smell of blood. He further highlighted a recent International Court of Justice decision reiterating the prohibition of genocide under international law and urging Israel to cease such actions and hold perpetrators accountable. Taş questioned the efficacy of these pronouncements, asking, "Who are they reprimanding? Who will be held to judgment?"

Taş wasn't shy about criticizing Western powers either. He noted statements from the UK urging a ceasefire and the US expressing concern about the rising death toll. However, he pointed out the glaring contradiction between these pronouncements and their continued support for Israel. This lack of meaningful action left Taş deeply frustrated.

Drawing a poignant comparison, Taş contrasted the international response to Gaza with the outpouring of aid following the recent earthquake in Turkey. While the earthquake's aftermath received months of support, Gazans have been enduring a metaphorical "earthquake" for nine long months. He decried the lack of tangible support from global and Islamic leaders, stating, "Our own leaders hold us captive with their inaction."

Despite these challenges, Taş expressed unwavering solidarity with Palestinian resistance leaders like Abu Obeida and Muhammed Deif. The Prophet's Lovers Foundation, he declared, stands firmly behind them.  He emphasized the need for a unified and resolute stance against Zionist oppression.

Ercan Fidan, another prominent member of the Foundation, followed Taş's speech with a statement. Fidan acknowledged the limitations of direct aid but stressed the importance of continuous protests and demonstrations to show unwavering support for Gaza. He condemned the recent targeting of young activists peacefully protesting businesses linked to Zionist actions. These young people, Fidan asserted, were exercising their fundamental right to protest and should not be silenced.

Fidan pointed to a growing global and domestic awareness of the situation in Gaza, crediting the Palestinians' unwavering resistance for this shift. He urged the Muslim community to unite, setting aside sectarian and political differences, in support of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. The growing resistance movements in places like Yemen and Lebanon, Fidan argued, were testaments to a broader solidarity against Zionist aggression. A unified Muslim community, armed with the spirit of resistance, would ultimately prevail, he declared.

The rally concluded with a passionate call to action. Fidan implored participants to intensify their efforts, keeping Gaza at the forefront of their activism. He advocated for continuous protests, boycotts, and other activities to expose and condemn Zionist brutality and its collaborators.

Legislative measures were also highlighted. Fidan commended a recent proposal by HÜDA PAR to revoke the citizenship of those implicated in the atrocities. He urged members of parliament to heed the public's conscience and support this proposal.

The closing prayer by Fidan invoked divine support for Muslim unity and victory against Zionist oppression. He reminded everyone, regardless of the action's scale, of the significance of their contribution to the cause of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. (ILKHA)
