Haneyya's office reported that he engaged in discussions with regional leaders via phone, highlighting Israeli obstacles hindering ceasefire efforts and condemning Saturday's massacres across Gaza.

Expressing Hamas's willingness to cooperate for a ceasefire, Haneyya criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for persisting with aggression and obstructing peace efforts.

Haneyya called upon mediators in Egypt and Qatar to engage with the US and other stakeholders to halt Israeli aggression and ensure peace in Gaza.

Additionally, Haneyya communicated with officials in Turkey and Oman regarding the situation.

Israel's military targeted a humanitarian safe zone in southern Gaza on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of 90 civilians and injuries to 300 others.

Israel claimed the attack targeted Hamas commander Mohamed al-Deif, though Netanyahu was uncertain of his fate. Hamas dismissed this claim, denouncing the incident as an attack on defenseless civilians. (ILKHA)
