Iran denies military aid to Russia in Ukraine war
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani strongly rejected accusations made by NATO regarding Iranian military assistance to Russia in the ongoing Ukraine war.
Kanaani dismissed the claims as "completely unfounded and politically charged," according to Iranian state media. He went further, stating that the current situation in Ukraine is a direct result of "NATO's provocative policies" led by the United States.
The spokesperson emphasized Iran's consistent stance: any attempt to link the war to Iranian-Russian cooperation is "biased political motivation" aimed at justifying Western arms shipments to Ukraine.
Kanaani reiterated Iran's commitment to a "constructive and stabilizing role" in establishing regional and global security. He reaffirmed that Iran has not supplied drones to Russia during the conflict, advocating for a political solution to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine. (ILKHA)
