Over 35,000 worshipers attend Friday Prayer at Aqsa Mosque amid heavy Israeli restrictions
Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers gathered to perform Friday prayer at the Aqsa Mosque, despite significant Israeli restrictions.
According to the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem, approximately 35,000 Muslims attended the prayer at the holy site.
A large number of Israeli police officers were deployed at the entrances, surroundings, and alleys of the city, as well as at the external gates of the Mosque. The heavy police presence included blocking several roads leading to the Old City of Jerusalem, hindering the movement of Palestinian citizens.
Israeli authorities also imposed additional restrictions on the entry of West Bank residents to the Aqsa Mosque compound. Despite these measures, thousands of Jerusalemites managed to perform the Fajr prayer at the Mosque earlier in the day. (ILKHA)
