According to the report, chicken meat production reached 216,453 tonnes, marking a 12.5% increase from the previous month's 192,386 tonnes.

Similarly, hen egg production rose by 3.2%, totaling 1.761 billion units compared to 1.708 billion units in April.

The institute also highlighted annual comparisons, noting that in May, chicken meat production saw a 3.2% increase, and Türkiye meat production surged by 20.9% compared to the same period last year. From January to May this year, hen egg production increased by 5.6%, while the number of slaughtered chickens and chicken meat production rose by 6.8% and 6.4% respectively. Türkiye meat production for the same period showed a substantial 25.7% increase.
