In his address, Erdoğan underscored the ongoing violence in Gaza and the broader occupied Palestinian territories. "During all my talks, I drew attention to the ongoing massacre in the occupied Palestinian territories, Gaza in particular. I stressed that global peace and stability cannot be addressed unless a lasting solution is found to the Israel-Palestine issue," he stated.

Erdoğan criticized Israel for not adhering to international law, citing the country's disregard for the International Court of Justice's injunctions and United Nations Security Council resolutions. He described Israel's current administration as "a wild-eyed structure that recognizes no law, including the law of war, regulation, value, or boundary."

Erdoğan also addressed the issue of military support to Israel, arguing that it is unacceptable given the current situation. "It is impossible for the current Israeli administration, which violates the fundamental values of the Alliance, to continue its partnership relation with NATO," he declared. He further stated that Türkiye would not support any initiatives for cooperation with Israel within NATO until a comprehensive and sustainable peace is established in the Palestinian territories.

The Turkish President called on the international community to work towards a two-state solution based on the 1967 borders. He expressed satisfaction with the growing number of countries recognizing Palestine despite pressures and attempts at intimidation. Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye's readiness to take any necessary initiative to achieve a ceasefire and lasting peace.

"It is impossible to establish a lasting peace unless the Palestinians, who have been suffering for decades on their own lands under occupation and oppression, are given the right to have their own independent and sovereign state,” Erdoğan concluded. (ILKHA)
