HÜDA PAR convenes 5th Ordinary Congress, focuses on equity and justice
HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) held its 5th Ordinary Congress in Ankara on Sunday, adopting the theme "Fair Governance System, Equitable Sharing."
The event, held at the Congress and Culture Centre in Keçiören District, drew a significant gathering of party members from across Türkiye.
The congress centered on crucial issues: leadership elections and strategic planning to promote fairness and shared prosperity. The venue buzzed with activity as members assembled early, adorned with vibrant green, yellow, and white party flags. Banners in Kurdish and Turkish proclaimed the party's commitment to justice and equality with slogans like "Priority to Human, Priority to Justice" and "Adil Sistem Hakça Paylaşım (Fair Governance System, Equitable Sharing)."
Poignant tributes were paid to martyrs, including Yasin Börü and his comrades killed in 2014, with their portraits displayed alongside those of influential figures like Sheikh Said-i Palevî and Mehmet Akif Ersoy. These displays underscored the party's ideological roots and historical context.
Following a traditional Quran recitation, the congress commenced with formal opening remarks and a roll call. HÜDA PAR Spokesperson Yunus Emiroğlu addressed attendees, outlining the party's vision for governance built on a foundation of justice and equity. He emphasized the importance of holding those in power accountable and ensuring a system aligned with societal values.
Reflecting on HÜDA PAR's twelve-year journey in Turkish politics, Emiroğlu reaffirmed the party's unwavering commitment to truth and integrity in public service. He reiterated their dedication to building a just and equitable society.
A Presidium was elected to guide the congress agenda and discussions. It comprised Mehmet Karadağ, Rasim Saygın, Harun Vergili, Cevriye Uçar, and Vildan Özcan, ensuring diverse perspectives were considered.
The event fostered a spirit of cross-party engagement, with representatives from AK Party, Deva Party, Refah Party, Future Party, and Memur-Sen in attendance. This broad participation highlighted the importance of dialogue across the political spectrum.
