Hamas delegation meets with Islamic Jihad, PFLP officials in Beirut
A delegation from Hamas held discussions on Friday with Ziad Al-Nakhala, Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, and Jamil Mizher, Deputy Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), focusing on joint national strategies to address Israeli aggression.
In a statement, Hamas stated that the meeting aimed at fostering unified national action, consultation, and coordination amidst ongoing Zionist aggression. Key topics included political and operational developments, as well as efforts by the resistance to halt Israeli attacks on Gaza.
The meeting also addressed recent reports of ceasefire negotiations, with a strong emphasis from the resistance factions on their demands. These demands encompass an end to aggression against Palestinians, particularly in Gaza, a full withdrawal of Israeli forces, guaranteed humanitarian aid access to Gaza, initiation of reconstruction efforts, and progress towards a prisoner exchange agreement.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to achieving these objectives through continued resistance, asserting it as the sole path to Palestinian liberation, the return of refugees to their homeland, and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting underscores ongoing efforts among Palestinian resistance factions to unite in confronting Israeli aggression and pursue collective goals for Palestinian rights and statehood. (ILKHA)
