In a statement released on Friday, Hamas emphasized its opposition to any efforts to introduce foreign forces into the Gaza Strip.

"We, the Islamic Resistance Movement – Hamas, affirm our rejection of any plans, projects, or proposals that seek to bypass the Palestinian will regarding the future of the Gaza Strip. We also reject any statements or positions that support plans to bring foreign forces into the Strip under any name or justification," the statement read.

Hamas underscored that the governance of Gaza, following the cessation of "fascist aggression," should be determined solely by Palestinians. "The administration of the Gaza Strip after repelling this fascist aggression is a purely Palestinian matter, agreed upon by our Palestinian people in all their diversity. They will not allow guardianship or the imposition of any external solutions or equations that detract from their principles based on their absolute right to gain freedom and self-determination."

The statement also called on Arab and Islamic nations to exert pressure to halt what it termed as the "Zionist genocide" against Palestinians and to support their struggle for self-determination. "We call on all Arab and Islamic countries to pressure the cessation of the Zionist genocide against our Palestinian people and provide all means of support and assistance in their struggle to defend their existence on their land, and to fulfill their commitments towards our people, their land, and the Islamic and Christian holy sites, which are being desecrated by the fascist settler criminal gangs."

In a similar stance, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) also voiced its rejection of international troop deployment in Gaza. The PFLP's statement on Friday criticized Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan's support for the deployment of international forces in the enclave.

The PFLP emphasized that only the Palestinian people should decide Gaza's future. "Arab and foreign efforts should focus instead on halting the Israeli aggression on the besieged enclave, return of the displaced, reconstruction of the Strip, and ending the siege," the PFLP stated.

The statements from Hamas and the PFLP highlight the ongoing tensions and differing perspectives on the future governance of Gaza amidst continued conflict and international diplomatic efforts. (ILKHA)
