Gangs that were used as pawns raided the village of Başbağlar in the Kemaliye district of Erzincan and massacred 33 innocent people, carrying out the second leg of the 'deep' provocation that began with the Sivas events," he said.

Demir drew parallels between the Başbağlar massacre and other violent incidents, such as the Sivas Massacre, suggesting a broader conspiracy. "The efforts of those who seek to destroy Madımak while ignoring and covering up Başbağlar confirm that the perpetrators of both events are the same organizations," he stated.

He further commented: "The Başbağlar Massacre, much like the Susa Massacre, was an attempt by gang organizations associated with deep and dark foci to hold society captive. On the anniversary of the massacre, I once again wish mercy from Allah for those massacred in Başbağlar and curse their murderers."
